Chief Instructor, Chuck Leverone Jr. – 5th degree black belt

Chuck Leverone Jr. started the martial arts at age ten in Kenpo mostly because it was fun and he really enjoyed it. As the years progressed, he continued to enjoy it and grew eager to learn more. On September 7, 1996 he received the rank of Shodan (1st degree black belt) from Professor Nick Cerio and Shihan Craig Seavey in Nick Cerio’s Kenpo Karate and Jiujitsu. This eagerness led Mr. Leverone to pursue becoming an instructor; and on May 2, 2006, and was awarded the title of "Sensei". Mr. Leverone received the rank of Godan (5th degree black belt) and was awarded the title of "Shihan” on August 16, 2008.

In addition, Mr. Leverone has studied Tai Chi under Dr. Aihan Kuhn to balance his external martial arts training. He has also studied Aikido and Jiujitsu under Shihan Jason DeLucia and Chin Na.

Mr. Leverone has the honor of being able to put forth what he’s learned and teach students. In teaching he believes that he helps the students achieve confidence and discipline in something that they sometimes feel they can not do. Teaching has made him look at the martial arts in a different perspective. He knows that what is taught in the dojo can be transferred outside the dojo into real life issues, learning to be self-sufficient, proper etiquette at home and the workplace as well as social life skills and keeping focus in life.

On March 1, 2008 Mr. Leverone was inducted into the World Martial Arts Federation Hall of Fame as Male Sensei of the Year.

With more than 25 years of Kenpo experience, Mr. Leverone is now pursuing his long held desire to further his knowledge by studying close range systems and arts.

He is an active judge at the World Martial Arts Federation Tournaments.
